We spent all of 2015 working on the interior of our fixer upper house, and we barely touched the exterior. While we have a LOT to do, we’re slowly chipping away at our long “to do” list.
We’re working at upping the curb appeal of our home, and there was a certain eyesore smack dab in the front of our house. It’s directly to the left of the front door – our trash cans. Nothing like welcoming guests to our front door while they’re staring at our ugly trash cans, right? Ha!
I didn’t realize how easy it would be to make over this space!
This is a sponsored post, but I needed you guys to know that this product is seriously simple to use, and I promise you can do it! So…I made a little video to share how we made it, and with a one and a two year old too:
So here’s the deal: there’s no glue, hardware or concrete involved in this project. We just used Connections Decorative Fencing‘s vinyl products (available at Lowe’s) and a hammer (they suggest a rubber mallet).
We used 4 3-tier post kits, 6 solid inserts, and 3 pattered inserts. We picked the herringbone pattern, but they actually have a few cute patterns to choose from.
We simply measured the correct distance, hammered the stakes halfway into the ground, slid the posts on top of them, and put the inserts into the grooved posts. I cannot tell you how simple it was! I was legitimately surprised – it took us just under 30 minutes from start to finish.
This is a much better solution for hiding our trash cans. Since we live in town, we have a lot of foot traffic that passes this part of our home daily. This Connections Decorative Fencing has seriously helped with our curb appeal goals!
I had thought a little fence would be nice “someday”, but it seemed so complicated with the thought of having to pour concrete. SO glad we found a way to get around that!
And now our guest’s view has been much improved when they come knocking on our front door!
Do you have an area in your home that you would just love to hide? You can! Connections Decorative Fencing is giving away one Connections Fencing package of your choice to one of you! Enter to win here:
